The name S.P.L.O.O.S.H. appears on the screen and then draws back to show that the full name is "The Society for the Prevention of Loser Overlords Who Want to Overthrow Society or Humanity and Weekly Book Circle."
In a quiet suburban neighborhood, Steve DiGiorno walks down the street, looking normal. From the shadows, Slaughterhouse, a ninja-like character, jumps out and kills DiGiorno. She breaks the fourth wall and tells the audience he was going to turn into MechaHitler and she definitely did a good thing killing him.
At the Banner Building, the headquarters of S.P.L.O.O.S.H., the team meets for the Weekly Book Circle and Community Fair. The team discusses the book "He's Just Not That Into You" in front of an audience of children. The team members present are Captain Echo, Slaughterhouse, SniperZzZ, Puppy and her pet monster Eddie. Puppy makes fun of the book selection.
Inside the White Room, the Banner Building's training room, the Mastermind introduces the team and its powers. He has telepathic and similar powers. Slaughterhouse has ninja powers, is a weapons master and invisible in the shadows. SniperZzZ has body armor and big guns.
SniperZzZ is introduced. The White Room morphs into a crack house. SniperZzZ runs towards an open front door from outside. He smashes through the front doorway, his uniform doesn't even fit. He emits a battle cry and opens fire on those inside.
Puppy and Eddie are introduced. The White Room morphs into a children's playground. Puppy hangs upside down from the monkey bars while writing notes on a steampunk tablet. Three punks sneak up on Puppy with bats and knives. Eddie wakes up and roars at them and they run away in horror. Puppy is unfazed.

Miss Starry is introduced. The White Room morphs into a roller derby rink. Miss Starry is easily the best player and she's not even using her powers.
Brute is introduced. The White Room morphs into the floor of the ocean. Brute swims by wearing a steampunk mask and rebreather. He swims towards a reef made from a sunken ship. He goes inside and comes back out holding a document case made out of bone. A group of sharks with lasers attached to their heads surround him and attack. From Brute's skin emerge a group of giant spikes. The sharks start blasting him with their lasers. He shoots the spikes from his body, killing several sharks. The other sharks turn on them and Brute swims away safely.
Bob is introduced. He says hi. Mastermind ends the introductions by saying that not only will S.P.L.O.O.S.H. defeat villains, they have more Twitter followers than any other superhero team.
Operation: Big-Ass Frog. At the Slate Industries Massive Mountain Mine, a hellfrog, the Vlerg rests at the bottom of a blast pit. The entire S.P.L.O.O.S.H. team stands at the ridge of the mountain looking upon the beast. Puppy uses her special goggles to examine the situation.
The Vlerg burps and streams of thousands of frogs fly from its' mouth. They coalesce into frogstreams that chase down various humans and overwhelm them. Overwhelmed people disappear. Frogstreams are everywhere. Puppy reveals that they aren't dead, they're now in the Vlerg's stomach-prison.
Cut to the Vlerg's stomach-prison, which is a very posh lounge. Among those imprisoned inside are the people from the Massive Mountain Mine as well as Batman, Boba Fett and various other action stars and superheroes. The staff are humans with frog heads.
Puppy looks up the Vlerg in Tobin's Spirit Guide. Green Star asks how they defeat it. Puppy says that Slaughterhouse is needed. She says her sword is ready. Puppy pulls a steampunk hoverboard from her pouch and says Slaughterhouse won't need her sword.
Slaughterhouse zooms towards the Vlerg on the hoverboard. She's in communication with Puppy who tells her that she's looking for "glowing Lucky Charms." A frogstream nearly misses her. Puppy explains that the charms are part of the creature's prison. They have to reconnect the charms to return it to Purgatory. Puppy says the charms will be somewhere near the Vlerg.
Slaughterhouse searches around the Vlerg for the charms. Green Star directs the rest of the team to help keep the humans out of the Vlerg's stomach. She goes to seal off the Vlerg's mouth to keep it from spewing more frogstreams.
SniperZzZ and Miss Starry valiantly try to help firefighters and EMS battle frogs and save people. Ribbon and Brute are overwhelmed by frogs and sent to the Vlerg's stomach prison.
Twisted Mister arrives and Puppy hands him a small scrap of paper. He asks where Mastermind is and Green Star says he doesn't participate in field missions. He leaves.
Slaughterhouse thinks she's found one of the charms. She confirms it with Miss Starry and Puppy, who tells her to touch that charm to the next closest one. Green Star has closed the Vlerg's mouth. The charms work and send the Vlerg back to purgatory. Everyone inside the Vlerg's stomach is freed. They have to finish up with he remaining hellfrogs. The operation ends, but the Mastermind already has another operation for them. Ribbon laments that she was going to call her brother.
Operation: Time for Adventure. The heroes stand in attack formation in an undersea base filled with minions. The Dustomancer presides over the base and there are missiles pointed at various large cities. Bob is nearly killed, but turns out okay. Ribbon emits an EMP that shuts off all the tech in the room. They rush the Dustomancer, easily taking him out.
The team returns from the battle with the Dustomancer. The women's clothes have no marks or tears, but the men are dirty and their costumes are reduced to tatters. Except for Bob, who is normal as always. The Mastermind pulls Captain Echo aside for a new mission. The Mastermind laments over he team's spending.
Operation: Gluten-Free: Captain Echo arrives to fight Glutino. As the villain prepares to monologue, Captain Echo punches him and knocks him out. He complains about getting crappy assignments.

Brute doesn't care, he's into his channels. The Mastermind tells the women that they're headed to Reardon's Superhero Kostume Emporium for new costumes. The men are given the afternoon off.
At Reardon's, Philip Reardon greets the women, particularly Miss Starry, who they know well. The costumes Reardon offers them are risque and inappropriate. Miss Starry likes them. Ribbon hates them. Puppy leaves. Ribbon follows. Green Star tries one on and she hates it. She comes back out wearing a much cooler and more battle-appropriate costume and everyone likes it.
In the Banner Building's sitroom, Puppy leads the group. She has Captain Echo and Brute roll in a steampunk arch. Puppy says it's their new ride, it leads them directly to danger zones. Puppy clarifies that it deposits them safely near danger zones. The rest of the team is skeptical that it's safe. Puppy's been testing it and it runs on good magic. She's been building it for more than a year. She tested it on Eddie and it's safe. Their new mission is to take out the Whipster, who is attacking a Baltimore Orioles baseball game. They step through the gate.
At Baltimore Comic Con, the heroes emerge from the Tower of T-Shirts. They walk through the convention and people recognize them. They're like the Beatles in 1966 here. They are rock stars. They slowly make their way outside.
Operation: Devo: The Baltimore Orioles play the Toronto Blue Jays at Camden Yards. The Whipster has taken the Orioles hostage. The heroes head into the stadium where the Whipster has his Whip-mobile parked on the field. The Whipster is holding the Orioles hostage. He says the reason is that the Orioles logo is racist. SniperZzZ immediately calls bullshit. Captain Echo and Green Star say he's not wrong. Slaughterhouse tries to talk the Whipster down, they go to the same meetings.
Miss Starry is wearing the impractical costume from Reardon's and her breast pops out. She doesn't even notice, but Ribbon does and she fixes it. Once Miss Starry explains that the football team in D.C. is even more racist, the Whipster sets the Orioles free. He says they can't be held accountable for a society this crewed up. Ribbon puts a force field around the players. SniperZzZ tries to shoot his gun at the Whipster, but he can't actually get the gun to work. The S.P.L.O.O.S.H. members laugh at him and the Whipster attacks him, knocking his gun away and tearing his costume. The Whipster calls SniperZzZ an idiot because he was about to surrender. He does surrender and Brute smashes the Whip-mobile. The others join him.
In the Banner Building Hallway, SniperZzZ and Captain Echo escort the Whipster to an interrogation room. Slaughterhouse and SniperZzZ are sent in to interrogate him. They come out a few seconds later to reveal that he doesn't know anything other than that something big is coming. Whipster is mostly naked and covered in ketchup and mustard. He cries.

A technician comes into the room, sees the spy and calls security.

She opens up and sees Brodie folded up inside, apparently dead. But his eyes open and he asks her to help him out and she does. She asks why he isn't dead and he replies they never kill the boyfriend.

Puppy notes that the entire Eastern Seaboard is alive with incidents of villain activity and supernatural occurrences. She thinks she might have figured everything out. They need to visit Norr. They leave the battle, forgetting about the snoids.
In Norr's Superhero Library, they ask Norr the Librarian what he knows about Snoids. The do some research and come to the conclusion that the Snoids and the Vlerg haven't appeared together in the same year since 1937. A reformed version of the League of Horrifically Bad Villains Who Will Be Part of Your Nightmares for At Least Seven Years Hence is behind the rise in recent super villain activity. The Mastermind arrives and tells them that Big Bad Boss has taken the mayor hostage and he demands that they surrender themselves right now he'll take all the city's money.
Operation: Big Bad Boss: The police have roped off the area around City Hall. Standing in front of the building is the S.P.L.O.O.S.H. team. Big Bad Boss comes down the street in a chariot made of fire. He says he will destroy the heroes, then the mayor will accede to his demands. Green Star asks what his demands are, but he thinks its a trick and refuses to tell her.
He tells the cops and soldiers to leave. They refuse and he wipes them out of the way with a giant blue energy hand. Ribbon emits a energy band that safely cushions them. Big Bad Boss calls out his team of super villains: the Dustomancer, Glorp, Glop, Topiary, Corporal Punishment, Red Line, Charlie Sheen, Delta Cube and the Whipster.
Puppy calls up SniperZzZ. He gets the transforming gun, which splits into nine different barrels. Each shoots out a different color energy and they blast the various members of he League, knocking them all unconscious except for Big Bad Boss. Ribbon sends out a energy band that turns into shackles to bind the villains. Big Bad Boss runs inside the mayor's office. The heroes follow.
The mayor sits behind his desk with an expression of fear and surprise. Big Bad Boss stands to his side. Big Bad Boss immediately confesses and says it was the Mastermind. He admits it. Captain Echo grabs him by the shirt and demands to know what he did and why. The Mastermind didn't want to do any real damage, he just wanted to steal all the money in the word. But not really, he just wanted wanted to pay for S.P.L.O.O.S.H. after the budget cuts.
Flashback to Manhattan Central Bank: Twisted Mister tornadoes in empty handed, goes into the bank and comes back out with bags with dollar signs on them.
Back in the present, the Mastermind says he took that money and gave it to a friend who is an inventor and she gave him a program that allowed him to secretly siphon millions from companies like McDonald's and WalMart. He hired the League to occupy them while he stole the money.
Puppy reveals that behind the scenes, she made sure that they all succeeded. She was the real mastermind behind the Mastermind. She had help from Twisted Mister. Who arrives at that second. Turns out he was a triple agent all along.
Flashback to Manhattan Central Bank: Twisted Mister arrives, carrying bags of money. He goes inside and deposits them.
In Puppy's Room, she sits on top of Eddie typing on her MacBook. She says once she figured out the computer program, it was easy to fix.
Back in the present, Puppy says she had a problem funding everything. She says the Mastermind's thoughts weren't wrong, but his methods were. She invented the website Gink and sold it for $42 million, so S.P.L.O.O.S.H. is in good shape, funding-wise. They're all still mad at he Mastermind because the marble zombies almost killed SniperZzZ.
But Brute reveals that the Mastermind didn't summon the marble zombies, Brute did. Brute is sick and he's dying. He was upset that no one noticed. They ask what they can do to help him. He said he went to Twisted Mister and got a magic wand and that brought the marble zombies to life. He knew they were weak, though, and would be easy to beat. Puppy said that the marble from the zombies cured Brute's cancer.
Flashback to the graveyard: The graveyard is smashed to bits, with pieces of marble zombie everywhere. Twisted Mister appears and grabs as much of the marble as he can fit into a large sack.
Back in the present, Puppy says she hid the marble under his bed and it cured his cancer. Captain Echo gets upset and complains about not getting any good missions. Ribbon holds the Mastermind in one of her bands. Captain Echo is old, like fought in World War II-old. He signed up to fight Hitler and was given a super-serum that gave him his powers.
Flashback to Nazi Headquarters in World War II Germany: Captain Echo reveals that it was him, not Captain America, who punched Hitler, but they wouldn't put a Black man in a comic book as the hero in the 1940s.
Back in the present, Captain Echo says he set up a battle he knew only he could win. Villains would make threats, he would defeat them and be thought of as a hero, not just a sidekick.
Flashback to the Manhattan Central Bank: Captain Echo stands outside the bank, holding a bag with a dollar sign on it. Twisted Mister tornadoes in and takes the bag. Captain Echo says Twisted Mister then hired Glorp and Glop.
Back in the present, Captain Echo says that Glorp and Glop are actually just two drifters the League hired for contract jobs. Puppy says Glutino's powers were about to make an evolutionary jump and he was going to destroy all beer if Captain Echo didn't take him out. The president of the U.S. specifically requested Captain Echo for this mission. In this timeline, stopping Glutino prevented Trump from becoming president. Green Star and Captain Echo kiss.
Miss Starry says she just used Twisted Mister to get her dates.
Flashback to the Hollywood Sign: Miss Starry points towards a hunky man in the crowd. She sends Twisted Mister to give him her phone number. The hunk smiles and salutes her.
Back in the present, Miss Starry was using operations to get dates. Puppy gets her to agree not to do it any more. She's dating Brodie now, so she doesn't need to.
Flashback to the Eden Prairie Mall and the set of "Let's Date A Superhero." Puppy completely funded the dating show, although the contestants are real. Twisted Mister arrives in the construction area and gives the foreman a bag with a dollar sign on it.
Back in the present, Slaughterhouse said she was bored. She came back for excitement and she's so tired of video games and casual sex, that she was messing around in Tobin's Guide. She learned of the Snoids and the Mothersnoid and said she HAS to kill those.
Flashback to Manhattan Central Bank: Slaughterhouse stands in front of the bank. Twisted Mister arrives and gives her a scroll. She gives him a bag with a dollar sign on it.
Back in the present, Slaughterhouse says Twisted Mister gave her the scroll to summon the Mothersnoid. Twisted Mister says he got the scroll from the Big Bad Boss. SniperZzZ is miffed that nobody every assisted him. Captain Echo says he's out and starts drinking. In both of the recent incidents where his gun didn't work, SniperZzZ was the one who hired the villains they were fighting. Ribbon asks where they rent supervillains. Big Bad Boss jumps up and says it was the League, obviously. How do they not know that. Slaughterhouse threatens him and he shuts up.
Flashback to Manhattan Central Bank: Standing in front of the bank is Big Bad Boss. Twisted Mister emerges from inside with a bag with a dollar sign on it. He hands the bag to Big Bad Boss.
Back in the present, SniperZzZ says he couldn't get the tech to work and they almost died. Puppy says that's not true.
Flashback to SniperZzZ's room at the Banner Building: SniperZzZ finishes working on a gun, but he is frustrated he can't get it to work. Twisted Mister zooms in, fixes the gun and zooms away.
Back in the present, Puppy says SniperZzZ actually did pretty well. Twisted Mister only had to make minor adjustments, then the weapon was used to defeat the League. She says they couldn't have done it without him. He cheers up. Green Star says that's all she wanted, to improve the team. She made the same mistake others made. Green Starr didn't tell Captain Echo because she was afraid what he would think of her. She admits to being behind the Vlerg.
Flashback to a cave in Purgatory: Green Star sent Twisted Mister to purgatory. He breaks the energy circle and frees the Vlerg.
Back in the present, Green Star apologizes not for her attempt to improve the team, but for her choice of how to do so.
Miss Starry asks if Bob had some kind of secret evil plan, too. He didn't. Puppy walks away to get a sandwich.
Flashback to Manhattan Central Bank: Bob stands outside smiling. Twisted Mister arrives and they shake hands. Twisted Mister goes inside and Bob awkwardly walks away.
Back in the present, Puppy returns to the room with no sandwich and her robot leg is on the other side. Twisted Mister says he was trying out for the team. The heroes all approve and he's a member. Ribbon figures out that Puppy has been replaced by an evil clone. They ask how Puppy could be evil since she was helping them all along. Evil Puppy reveals they've only been here since Puppy went to get a sandwich.
Good Puppy comes back, eating a sandwich. Evil Puppy reveals that she's not even really that evil, she's just upset that Puppy didn't get her a sandwich. But Puppy did get her one and hands it over. Everybody's happy. Ribbon reveals that Big Bad Boss is her brother. She asked him to create the League to stop the Mastermind from getting them all killed. The Mastermind reveals that he has no idea what he's doing.
Puppy reveals that she's been really running things behind the scenes. Big Bad Boss was her college chemistry teacher. She already has three college degrees. Ribbon told her what was going on and Puppy made sure the plan didn't backfire.
Mayor Boomschlager says he's sick and tired of all of them and demands an explanation. They make jokes and he kicks them out. Puppy tells him the city's money has already been returned. She threw in an extra million to help cover costs and maxed out campaign contributions from each member of S.P.L.O.O.S.H. He thanks her, but says they're still doing community service.
The heroes engage in various power-appropriate hurricane recovery tasks. They wish they were fighting evil. And new team member Twisted Mister thinks it's poor taste for him to be at a place ravaged by a hurricane. Puppy says they've been released from clean-up duty and have a new mission. The team cheers.
